Welcome to Immaterial's Middle Earth! We are thrilled that you’re here.
Here’s a quick introduction to all the great things you’ll get as a member of Immaterial's Middle Earth. You may find things a bit different here than other apps, websites and 'social homes', but with a little exploration, the results will be well worth it!
What You’ll Get Here in Immaterial's Middle Earth
As a member of Immaterial's Middle Earth, we want you to get immediate value from being here. That’s why we’re aiming to offer five simple things to our free members:
Experience exclusive content and conversations you can’t find anywhere else.
Meet people who share your interests who live near you, who do the same things, or who care about the same topics.
Hone your own innate intuition with our fun exercises.
Swap stories, experiences, and ideas (not necessarily advice) around our vision.
Find a little inspiration, thought-provoking conversations, and expert perspective each and every day.
First, 3 Things to Do, then explore
Introduce Yourself. If you haven’t already, make sure you add a photo, a mini-bio, and a quick introduction to Your Profile. It should take you less than a minute, and you’ll immediately start to see more people like you in your feed.
Post One Thing You’re Excited About Right Now. Sharing your first post or question is easy. Just write the one thing you’re most excited about right now from the main home feed of our community. I, for one, am super excited about the prune armagnac cake I just baked. See, doesn't have to be breathtakingly deep! Just post something!
Explore Discovery. It might take you a minute to find your way around Holisticism Mystery Group, but you can always see what’s popular from Discovery. Don’t forget that you can also use Search to find all of the great posts and content shared by the folks who are already here.
The Fine Print
We’re doing something a bit different here with Immaterial's Middle Earth. We need everyone’s help to keep this emerging community as valuable, authentic, and safe as possible.
This means a few rules of the road:
Don’t Spam or Self-Promote. While we all love a little self-promotion (this is still the Internet after all!), for everyone to get the most out of Holisticism Hub, please don’t just mindlessly post about your latest work or promote your idea. A good rule of thumb is that if you are tempted to add something about “work from home” or use ALL CAPS, don’t post it. Just sayin'
Share Stories and Experiences, Not Advice. Nothing builds a beautiful conversation faster than sharing your stories and experiences, and nothing shuts one down faster than just posting advice. If you’ve written the words, “you should…” hold up. On the other hand, if you find yourself writing, “In my experience…” keep going!
Troll Elsewhere. There are plenty of places you can spend your time today where trolling is going to get you a lot more attention. If you’re tempted to troll here, don't. I will block you, and then I'll tell all your friends on INSTA. I'm ruthless about creating sacred space for my people.
