We’ve all been to presentations, lectures, and talks where one wonders how can the presenter still be awake? what do you mind the rest of us. As a friend would say it’s like pushing bamboo up under your fingernails. Do not try this at home!

We all need to present, to persuade, to tell our story, to dissuade, to connect, whether the audience is our family, our partner, husband or colleagues.

Here are the four questions you need to ask and answer every time.

I’ve been reading The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs by Carmine Gallo which reminded me of these. Steve Jobs was a master presenter. I saw Jobs present once at a conference in New York. Inspiring for sure. Excellent, excellent book so good you’ll never lend it to anyone.

So these questions which can be used for your business, a job interview, a project, something you want to charm or talk your partner into doing, la di dah

  1. What do you do?

  2. What problem do you solve?

  3. Why are you different?

  4. Why should I care?

Get clear on these and you’ll know why and what’s next.

Here it is applied to my Kundalini Yoga app

What do you do?

This app puts your practice in your pocket. You can have thousands of yoga sequences, with music and timers on one device. Everything you need to practice or teach any time and anywhere. All one one screen. Pretty cool eh!

What problem do you solve?

To practice or teach kundalini yoga you need lots of books. You also have lots of different music to organise and a timer and stopwatch. If you travel frequently this is a lot of stuff to carry. If at home you are constantly searching for ‘that’ kriya (asana sequence) in which book again? and matching music and kriyas together.

The app allows you to put them altogether once and there are there forever.

You can search them later by name. You can also track and journal your practice and even share it on social media.

So you have everything you need to practice or teach any time and any place on one device and it syncs across your devices. Clever eh!

Why are you different?

Everyone is different, with different needs, wants and desires.

You can create your own personal library and carry it with you so you can do it any time any place.

Why should I care?

It’s all about you. Your practice, your journal, your personal library. Your practice is organised, more accessible and connected. You only have to gather yourself. We’ve gathered everything else for you.

So try it out now for something for yourself now and let me know how you go. Was it easy? Is what you are offering clearer now?
