In pursuit of knowledge, every day something is added.

In the practice of the Tao, every day something is dropped.

Less and less do you need to force things, until finally you arrive at non-action.

When nothing is done, nothing is left undone.

True mastery can be gained by letting things go their own way. It can’t be gained by interfering.

Lao Tzu (c.604 – 531 B.C.)

It’s taken me a long time to learn this and the truth is I am still learning it I also suspect I will be for a while yet:-)

How are you doing in that busy-ness we call our lives, where we have become so accustomed to there’s too much to do and not enough time to do it. We’ve even ensured our children are busy and scheduled to within an inch of their lives.

On that note I’m off to bed. The earliest I’ve been in there in a long while, to get my prescribed 7-8 hours sleep. But more on sleep another day.

For now the land of nod is calling:-)
