Will you climate strike?

Updated: Jun 28, 2020

Everyone agrees on wanting to create a better future. What that future might look like of course is where divergence begins, but it can hardly be argued that we can be rather wasteful beings and (pardoning all puns) one use packaging needs to be arrested and contained. My take on climate change is let's start with human change. Everyone wants to change the world but we need people who are prepared to change. Click To Tweet

Yes Gandhi was right everyone wants to save the world but no one wants to change themselves. Turn off the tap when brushing your teeth, recycle like you meant it, less plastic, more keep cups, more public transport, less fast fashion . . . . .

Tomorrow there’s a global climate strike. Are you going? This is where you need to be. It’s 12:00 – 14:00

Will you take the time out of your busy day to protest peacefully for something the UN has now declared a crisis revising the deadline for action from years to months. Will you bring your family? Will you bring your co-workers? Will you ask your boss/CEO if you can go? Will you suggest your boss/CEO suggests the whole company goes?

It only takes 3.5% of the population to protest peacefully to ensure serious political change. This seems so little and with the number of conversations going around about climate change one would imagine we’d have tipped well over that. It seems everyone wants to create a better future but how many are willing to take action to create that. Will you be one of them tomorrow? Here’s the article on the peaceful 3.5% that never fails to catalyse change.
